PEPID
Editorial Model
We’re proud to provide our users with up-to-date clinical and drug information, and our independent clinical information is the most trusted in the industry.
PEPID executes a very aggressive editorial cycle in which all our content is reviewed and contributed to by leading professional organizations, as well as our own team of in-house physicians, nurses and pharmacists, to make sure everything is of the highest quality. New information is retrieved daily from multiple sources and routed through a process of multilevel peer review to qualify for inclusion into the product. All sections are written and reviewed by specialists of that topic.
How Does PEPID Rate the Evidence?
PEPID utilizes the GRADE scale of rating evidence and considers a number of factors weighing the advantages and disadvantages of treatments, both to decide on a recommendation and to grade the strength of that recommendation. These factors include the quality of the evidence and benefits or burdens of the outcomes, baseline risks, magnitude of the effect, cost and precision of the proposed effects.
Editorial Cycle Updates
PEPID performs an aggressive editorial cycle that includes a continuous comprehensive review of all clinical and drug data. Specific topics are revised when new, relevant information is published and made available. On average, approximately 44% of our content is updated every calendar quarter.
